Basilica Cistern
This place, which bears the traces of Byzantine architecture, was built by Justinian I. There are many columns inside the structure, which was built to meet the water needs of Eastern Rome. Due to its mystical atmosphere and the marble columns rising out of the water and giving the impression that they are countless, it has been called "Basilica Cistern" by the people. After the conquest of Istanbul in 1453, the structure was used for a while and became the water source of the garden of Topkapı Palace. Today it serves as a museum. If you visit Istanbul, you should definitely see this unique structure.
