How many reps to build muscle as a natural athlete doing high intensity training? Is it high reps, low reps or moderate reps? In this video I share my thirty plus years of experience as a natural bodybuilder and as someone who has developed and used Naturally Intense High Intensity Training for 33 years to show you the best possible rep range for building muscle.
Most systems focus on progressive resistance or set numbers or repetitions per exercise, but in my experience as a natural athlete, reps don't really matter as what seems to matter for maximum muscle growth is training intensity, training variety and time under tension.
We cover the rep ranges I have employed in my own training over the years and what I have seen as best practices as well with my personal training clients and it's a bit of a different perspective on reps than most conventional forms of training. And is focused specifically for those of us training drug free while trying to also remain injury free.
