As a published academic and creative writer, she authored 'Bayonets, Mangoes and Beads,' representing African and Diasporic voices of WWI and WWII. Nairobi's dynamic poetry has been showcased for prominent figures and in documentaries, and she currently holds positions as BBC Regional Poet and Poet in Residence for The Windrush Foundation and The Equiano Society.
