The Prince Nymph is a very common fly that is widespread across the whole fishing world. I like a version of it I call the “Improved Prince Nymph”. The standard version is tied with a body of peacock herl wrapped around the hook shank and it is ribbed with gold tinsel or wire. I like to build the body with peacock ice dub, then rib it with peacock herl, then over wrap it with gold wire. I feel like it is a little bit more durable, and definitely a little more unique.
