As the name suggests, it can go right into a heavy crunch and distortion tones reminiscent of Marshall amplifiers cranked on 10. Even though the Joyo Crunch Distortion pedal can produce these heavier tones, it can also be used as a clean boost or as an overdrive pedal at lower levels on the gain knob. These are really versatile pedals and can add a huge output signal to your amp for louder, more rocking tones which are both great for chunky rhythm tones as well as lead guitar playing.
