Ontario entered the first day of its enhanced COVID-19 restrictions announced by Premier Doug Ford on Friday.
Many people were furious at the new measures, which give police the power to stop people and ask them why they aren't staying home and to provide an ID and a home address.
Several civil liberties critics called the measures “unconstitutional” as police divisions issued press releases to reassure people they wouldn't actually use those powers.
