A three-day certified course: Essentials in Healthcare Simulation "Simulation Instructor in Nursing"
This three-day certified course's objective is to build capacity of simulation instructors at nursing institutions throughout India. It was held at Vidyanta Simulation Center, Gurugram from 23-25 Nov 2023.
The certification is provided by International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation & learning, USA (INACSL-RIG, India) and the Healthcare Sector Skill Council, India.
The course objectives were understanding the simulation standards of best practices by INACSL, scenario-based trainings, understanding the techniques of simulation, differentiate between teaching & training, improve clinical judgement and critical thinking, bridging the gap between theory, creating moulage patients and practice, understand OSCE assessment.
The training methodology was interactive as the trainers ensured that knowledge was not only disseminated but accurately perceived and understood by the participants. In order to ensure this, trainers engaged participants in discussions and kept the forum open for feedback, queries and suggestions.
Closing ceremony of the training was led by Mr. Jaideep Herbert (COO, Vidyanta). The ceremony was initiated with a note of thanks for their active participation in the training and also congratulated them on successful completion of this training course.
