Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley says the Afghanistan war was a "strategic failure" during today's Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.
In his first congressional testimony on the U.S withdrawal from Afghanistan, Gen.Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, says he believes the U.S. should have kept several thousand troops in the country to prevent a Taliban takeover.
General Milley said quitting wasn't an option when asked why he hasn't resigned from his position despite his stance on certain decisions.
