This is a combination DBV-T and DBV-S receiver which means that it will:
• Receive free to air digital broadcast TV by auto tuning.
• Receive VK3RTV when you do a blind manual tune at the 445.5MHz frequency providing the repeater is transmitting.
• Receive DVB-S signals in the 23cm ham band if you – for example - want to test receive a transmitted 1278MHz signal on the other side of your shack or receive 23cm DVB-S simplex signal from another ham station
This is a high definition set top box receiver decoder with full HD 1080P with the standard features you expect in a modern set top box
Many of the set top boxes in the domestic market are not easy to tune and/or don’t cover both DVB-T & DVB-S signals – this unit does both.
If you are thinking of getting into ATV – this a good versatile ATV receiver
If you intend to purchase this combo receiver make sure that you purchased the V7 plus version – there are many models in this range with similar names – buyer beware, the model number on my unit was P51STC
Please note that there is a review of this model and a how-to-tune guide for amateur 70cm frequencies in the Boulder Amateur Television Club News November 2020 [ Ссылка ]
