What was the brutal childhood of Ivan The Terrible?
The Man Who Made Russia: The Brutal Life Of Ivan The Terrible
➡ [ Ссылка ]
Ivan the terrible, remembered for his murderous invention of the Oprichniki (an early form of the Russian secret police), his torturous rule and the murder of his own son, unsurprisingly had a sad childhood. At the age of 3 his father passed away, and then 5 years later, so did his mother, after a suspected poisoning. This resulted in the young boy being cared for by Russian Nobel's named boyars, who allegedly treated him like a beggar in his own palace, leaving Ivan frustrated and angry, and subsequently seen torturing animals. A sad but unsurprising early life for a notoriously evil man.
