HOW TO MAKE BBQ BAKED BEANS

Ingredients
2 - 28 oz cans of pork & beans
1 medium onion finely diced
½ of a green pepper finely diced
¾ cup of bbq sauce
3 Tbsp of ketchup
½ cup of brown sugar
¼ cup of apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp of mustard
10 slices of bacon diced
Salt & pepper to taste
Directions
In a large skillet fry your bacon until about two thirds down. Remove it from the skillet and place on a paper-towel lined plate.
Add your onion and peppers to the bacon drippings in the skillet and saute for about 5 minutes.
In a bowl combine pork & beans, bbq sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, onion & green pepper mixture, salt, and pepper. Mix it until combined.
Add the beans to a 13 x 9 baking dish sprayed with non-stick spray. Top it with your bacon, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 2 - 2 ½ hours in a 325° oven.
Remove from the oven and let sit to thicken slightly.
