An example of monitoring a salmon smolt in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River as it migrates to the Pacific Ocean. The California Department of Water Resources tested a non-physical barrier to help salmon successfully migrate to sea. The acoustically tagged salmon were tracked in 2D using micro-acoustic tags. Tracks were viewed in real-time using geo-referenced imaging.
