Capital One allows Zelle to be used only through its mobile app. First, take your phone and open the Capital One mobile app. Next, log into your account using your username and password. Tap Sign In. After login on to the dashboard of your Capital One app, tap on the checking account that you want to enroll in Zelle. On your checking account screen, in the “I want to…” section, find the button “Send money with Zelle.” Tap on it. If you haven’t enrolled in your Capital One account in Zelle yet, it should offer you to enroll. Select an email or phone number to use as an address in Zelle. I tap the phone number. Next, Capital One wants to verify that I own the phone number. It sends a 6-digit verification code as a text message to my phone. I must enter the code to show that I have the phone number. Next, I tap “Submit code.” I used this phone number for Zelle with another bank. Capital One offers me the option to switch from that bank. Next, Capital One wants to know which Checking account I want to use for Zelle. I have two options. I select the first and tap “Submit.” Now, I am enrolled in my Capital One checking account at Zelle. Payments made to my phone number will be deposited to my checking account automatically.
