As is indicative of her life, Dame Elizabeth Taylor is no stranger in taking on taboo topics in films. One example is Tennessee William's, "Suddenly Last Summer", which spoke of homosexuality, cannibalism and mental illness.....in 1959. Please enjoy this short trailer and please see the film if you ever get the chance. It is Dame Elizabeth Taylor at her best. The performance garnished Elizabeth Taylor her third consecutive Academy Award nomination. Twenty five years later she would take on the taboo subject of HIV/AIDS Awareness, Education and Research Fund Raising. She (now) speaks candidly about the importance of educating the children of our world, no matter what they say that they already know. As adults, we need to get the accurate facts and relay them to our children. Thanks to Dame Elizabeth's funding efforts, the correct AIDS information is part of all ASO's (AIDS Service Organizations) so everyone has an equal chance of hearing the truth. Elizabeth Taylor doesn't beat around the bush. Not in matters of life and death. Please donate if you can.
