Hi, Greetings from my channel" Foreign Tadka"
Today I have shared a homemade Japanese Curry Roux in an Indian style or with Indian flavor. This is a very simple and unique technique to make homemade Japanese curry roux at home. In future we will see many Japanese/Korean/Indian curries using this curry roux!
Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter( if you use unsalted add 1 tsp salt at the end of the recipe)
1/2 Maida/all-purpose flour
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp ginger-garlic powder( You can add onion powder too if you have in the pantry)
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp white pepper ( they both have different flavors)
1 tsp garam masala( optional)

How to:
-Soften the butter in a medium saucepan over medium/low heat.
add maida/flour, and stir to combine. Sauté, constantly stirring until the flour turns golden brown. It will take time around 15 minutes till the deep golden brown.
- Add the spice mixture, and stir for 30 sec. add garam masala( optional) It will give extra flavor, So again cook for 30 extra seconds to allow the flavor to mix together.
- Once its don't turn heat and cool down completely.
after cool down add in an ice pad and freeze it once is set place an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 months
