Is it happened to you when you asked your kid to share a fruit, sweet or toys with cousin, friends or someone else. Your intention may be to induce the habit of sharing and caring. But that child want to keep those things entirely. May be sometimes child may agree, but sometime he/she denies, start crying, throwing those things and many more. Again we will try to emphasize and tell the kid how important it is to share with others. While doing this kid learns a way of suppressing their needs and adopt to please others. May be we can show a better way of sharing just increasing quantity of the sweets, fruits or toys. Gone those days where people would not have money to spend on sweets/toys. While we have sufficient money to meet their small wishes, we can bring a culture of openly expressing their needs and thinking of others well-being as well.
Do you resemble the same situation when it comes to office work, where promotion are handled? Many people might just want to see a growth on an year to year basis, and might not necessarily want to have a hierarchical structure/subordinate. So how do you build a culture of self-competency rather than people compete with their colleagues.
