In this video, I review the 83L Rugged Cases by ROAM Adventure Co.
I've tried a ton of cases in the past: everything from Pelican, to Apache, to Plano, etc. They were all good cases, but they all required drilling to mount to my rack. Once they're drilled, it's almost impossible to reconfigure them to mount in a different orientation...unless you want to drill even more holes. Also, once you drill holes in your cases, they lose their weather sealing and their resale value.
ROAM came up with a great solution to this problem...the Rugged Mount. With the Rugged Mounts, I can quickly and easily switch between my camping season setup (iKamper + one ROAM case) and my off-season setup (no RTT + two ROAM cases).
The ROAM Rugged Cases are extremely well-built and include a bunch of great features that I really appreciate: integrated bottle opener, drain plug, lockable latches, epoxy coated hardware, and gas struts.
I've been searching for the perfect overland / camping storage cases for a long time, but I think the search is finally over. Thank you ROAM!
