The Manzano Method, displayed to us by a man who has worked in this area of conservation for almost 35 years, is a very effective tool appropriate for use at most of the tortuga lora (Kemp's ridley) nesting beaches on the US and MX gulf coasts. Easily understood, afforded and utilized, The Manzano Method could help local communities make huge gains in preserving this most endangered of the sea turtles, whose only home is The Gulf of Mexico. It is also a great method for conserving and protecting nests on beaches where only a very few of a species might come ashore.
