Sirkeci is a neighborhood in the Eminönü quarter of the Fatih district in Istanbul, Turkey. The neighborhood borders to the north the mouth of the Golden Horn, to the west the neighborhood of Bahçekapı, to the east the Topkapı Palace area, and to the south the Cağaloğlu neighborhood.
No visit to Istanbul is complete without stopping by the atmospheric Spice Bazaar. While the Grand Bazaar may be the largest and most famous of Istanbul's covered bazaars, this spice market wins the prize for being the most colorful, fragrant, and often the most fun – as visitors can taste the goods on offer.
The Egyptian Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı), otherwise known as the Spice Bazaar, is the place to be to lay in a fresh supply of spices, nuts, honeycomb, Turkish delight, dried figs, caviar and mature hard Turkish cheese.
Visiting Istanbul is always colorful with the exploratory Spice Bazaar tour which attracts travelers with magnificent colors, fragrance and tastes just found inside. The locality near New Mosque in Eminönü district is the best starting point: this route from Spice Bazaar to Grand Bazaar lets a smooth pass from appetizing odors of foodstuff at the former to eye candy jewels and carpets at the latter market.
