The following are the key principles of the road map. Follow wisely.
1. THINK BIG PICTURE - Look at the forest, not the trees. All too often when people start a business they're focused on very low priority details that bog them down and waste time. Don't get caught up in this. This can be a waste of time, money, energy etc. You need to think big picture, long game, and how your setup right now and what you need to prioritize first (secret: CLIENTS)
2. Execute and take action OBSESSIVELY. Yes I do mean literally obsessively. If you are serious about getting a business to six figures, there's literally no time to waste. You have to sacrifice things, you need to reprioritize your life. Just as if you were on a diet, you must be obsessive about the body you want and do the things that will get you there. In our case, this means massive action on outreach emails, researching potential clients and connecting, connecting, connecting.
(If you don't do this, you'll have a 100% chance of failure)
3. Know you will fail. It's OKAY. Failure is GOOD. Failure is learning. It means you did something wrong, and you are no never going to do that again. When you mess up, jump right back up and learn instantly, don't mope, don't reject yourself and slump down. Pop up and know what you did and correct it going forward, you'll be stronger, faster and better for looking at failure this way. Failure is always going to happen. Amazon uses the phrase "move fast and break things". One of the greatest companies in the world embraces failure! Think about that twice.
4. Focus on the business, and only the business. Again, I'm talking about obsessive focus here. Don't let yourself fall into the trap of fiddling with six different things at once. That just means your a person that will do six different things badly. How about do one thing with HIGH efficiency and you'll come out above all six of the other shiny balls you were looking at combined. I know there are a thousand things out there to get engaged with, but primary focus when you want to attain a goal like six figures is critical. If you can't commit to that, you might not want to start a recruiting agency.
The 5th and final piece I'd like to leave you with is to NEVER give up. Regardless of what happens. If you have a bad day, week, month, quarter, DO NOT GIVE UP. This happens to all of us in some form or another but true entrepreneurs do not give up. They persist, and succeed and that's the reason they succeed, because they didn't give up, simple enough right? Just stay the course, I promise you what you put your mind to will come to fruition, as it has for me following this pathway to six figs and beyond.
