In this video, we discuss the pros and cons of the Magoosh SAT course in the areas of lesson quality, support, practice questions/tests, and policies.
Magoosh performed quite well in all the areas we evaluated. We really liked the Magoosh SAT prep course for the depth of their video lesson library, the detailed answer explanations they provide for all practice questions on the platform, and the quality of the responses we received when using their on-demand instructor support.
The biggest complaint we had about the course is that the number of full-length practice tests is not sufficient for students looking to complete many practice questions and practice tests before their big day.
While the Magoosh SAT course has about 1200 SAT practice questions on the platform, all the questions in their practice test are drawn from this same pool of SAT questions. Which could lead to repeat questions appearing while taking a full-length practice test.
We would've liked to see full-length practice tests, with practice questions not found anywhere else on the platform.
Nevertheless, considering the number of features the Magoosh SAT course provides at a very affordable price point relative to the competition, this is one of the best-for-value self-paced courses on the market.
