Their primary goal is to acquire this supply as easily as possible. Therefore, they typically do not target strong, confident individuals who are less likely to provide the desired supply without a significant struggle. When the current source of supply becomes too difficult to control or is no longer as rewarding, the narcissist will shift their focus to someone who offers an easier way to fulfill their needs.
