Prince Charles has opened the new NHS Nightingale at the ExCeL Centre in east London via video link.

He said it will serve as "a shining light" during the lockdown.

The temporary facility in London's Docklands is now the largest critical care unit in the world.

Soldiers, carpenters, and volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure NHS Nightingale could be operational within two weeks.
