A disabled content creator, Jennie Berry, who uses a wheelchair, faced a challenging situation when the lifts were unexpectedly out of service at Dalston Junction station in London. Despite the Transport for London (TfL) website indicating that the lifts were operational, Jennie was left with no choice but to crawl up the stairs on Thursday night. She filmed the incident, expressing frustration at the lack of prior warning and the absence of station staff to assist her.
Jennie explained on Instagram that she had to pull herself up the steps without any assistance until staff finally appeared when she was three steps from the top. To her surprise, they informed her that the lift had been broken for a month. At the end of her 15-minute climb, the lift technician announced that he had fixed the lift as some TFL staff can be heard laughing at the situation.
