First and foremost, protecting Dawlish, its residents and the main railway line is crucial. As a secondary consideration, what should be said about the appearance of the new sea wall, especially now it has turned green? Should it be seen as a magnificent piece of architecture that is starting to show a real natural flare, blending with the greenery of Devon and the livery of the passing GWR trains?
