The F-15EX, also known as the Eagle II, is an advanced derivative of the F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet. It's designed to replace aging F-15C/Ds and provide the U.S. Air Force with a high-performance, long-range fighter for decades to come.
The F-15EX features a number of upgrades over the F-15E, including:
A new, more powerful engine, the GE F110-GE-129, which gives the aircraft a longer range and higher sustained speed.
A larger internal weapons bay, which allows it to carry more missiles and bombs.
An improved radar and electronic warfare suite, which makes it more difficult to detect and track.
A more modern cockpit with a touchscreen interface.
