Looking for a modern, compact but powerful coil option for the 2JZ platform, we realized, that the narrow space between the valve covers simply won't allow fitting any off the shelf powerful coil inside it.
That's why we decided to make our own coils, bringing to you the spark energy you need, without requiring to cut your timing cover or run ignition wires!
Even though our coils get measured with industry standard test equipment by our manufacturer, it was important to us, to test them by ourselves in order to be able to compare them relatively to all other popular 2JZ coil options.
Being transparent with our test procedure plays an important role to us:
We paid attention to use low tolerance electronic components to get results as precise as possible with our DIY test rig, but we are also aware of the fact that our numbers shouldn't be considered as absolute results.
However, performing the same test multiple times on our rig gave us consistent results +- 0,3mJ, which means that the results are perfectly fine to compare the coil output energies relatively to each other.
