The 8th annual Walk n' Roll for Children's Specialized Hospital will take place on May 17, 2014. This event has welcomed thousands of supporters each year to enjoy a 1, 2.5 or 5 mile walk or roll around Johnson Park. Immediately following the walk supporters will enjoy a free carnival where everyone can enjoy live music, games and prizes, food, and learn about special needs. Children Specialized Hospital is the largest provider of pediatric rehabilitation services in the country. With 12 locations in New Jersey, the hospital serves more than 22,000 children each year, including those children affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses.
Last year's Walk n' Roll drew in 2,000 community members that were able to raise over $246,000. This year Children's Specialized Hospital is expecting over 2,000 and hoping to raise $265,000 to support outpatient center expansion.
