India not violating sanctions by importing Russian oil: US after Modi-Biden meet
After PM Narendra Modi's meeting with US President Joe Biden, the US said India's oil imports from Russia don't violate their sanctions. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said, "Energy imports aren't banned...We certainly recognise that every country is going to take a step in their interest…[India's oil import] is only 1-2% at this point…they export 10% from the US."
