Have you noticed your penis getting hard lately for no apparent reason? You've been capable of having an erection since you were a little boy, but all of a sudden you've hit puberty, and it starts to happen more frequently and for no reason. You're not having sexual thoughts, and you're not touching yourself, but you still have an erection.
I can remember this one time in seventh grade, this guy that I was friends with gave a presentation in a science class in front of the classroom. All of a sudden, in the middle of the presentation, he ran out the door and headed for the hills. None of us knew what was going on, but it turns out that he had an erection. None of us even noticed. This is totally normal. It is a normal part of puberty, and every guy goes through it.
Have you also noticed that you wake up in the morning and your sheets are wet and your pajamas are wet? You might have had a wet dream, also known as a nocturnal emission. This is also normal, and it's nothing to be embarrassed of.
The good news is this will become less and less frequent as you get older. Again every guy you know has experienced this. It's nothing to be ashamed of. It's nothing to be embarrassed of. Even when your parents wash your sheets, they're not going to think twice about it. I promise. It's all a normal part of puberty.
