Hey guys! A new pts cycle is always an exciting time for us who enjoy testing. I'm thrilled to show you my arcanist results on update 41. The combination of a 7% nerf to beam ticks, a nerf to burning ticks, and a nerf to the charged weapon trait have resulted in a 3-4k dps loss for the class over last patch. The hemorrhaging buff is the saving grace which did over 7k dps for me in this parse. I havn't tested any other setups other then the nirn/coral setup thats been best in slot for dummy testing since arcs released. There may be a better setup out there after the changes, but I wanted a clean testing environment to see the effect of the nerfs. I will test more setups in the coming weeks.

I would say that overall these changes are a win. Beam was a bit overturned and needed to be reeled in a little bit and I think they managed
to accomplish that here. It's too early for me to provide a real opinion on all of the status effect changes. I will need to do a lot more testing. Arcanist as a class going forward is going to be fine. You may see a bit more dks and templars in trial comps for more st but arc will continue to win out in aoe as long as azureblight stays the way it is.

The new font incorporated in this update messed with a lot of addons. My ability bar addon included. This makes reading the timers essentially impossible, but until an update is released, it just is what it is.

Arcanist has by far the easiest rotation of any class. Once you get it down, its pretty much just a static rotation each parse. Precast your cloak/scholarship and then throw scalding and run into melee range. Lay down your trap, drop ult, cast blockade and then flail into your first beam. From then out, just refresh your dots on cooldown between beams. Don't beam until you have three crux. If you are using ulti pots, your ult timing should perfectly line up with off balance procs. If you are using tri pots, just drop your ult on cooldown. In content, if you dont have off balance, then swap exploiter out for untamed aggression.
