If you work just need to do the cylinder carving, 4 axis with 3 axis linkage is enough, if your work asymmetrical or square, it needs 4 axis 4 linkages (real 4 axis). For example, if you want to do one buddha, the 3 axis and the 4th axis can't finish it.
Compared with the 3 axis and 4th axis CNC router, 4 axes 4 linkage CNC router can read more complex G code, 4 axis CNC router G code need to use the professional 4 axis software.
