It's well known that Rocksteady Studios are working on a new, mysterious project. After the VGX 2013 and the lack of announcements at the show,
a rumor has been circulating on Internet that the next game in the Batman Arkham series will be named Batman: Arkham Knight,
with a release scheduled for the Holiday season of 2014 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

This rumor comes from IMGMR.com, a less-than-reliable source. The name seems to be picked from the list of web domains registered on January 10, 2013 by Warner Bros:

Beyond that, the only "trusted" information we have about a new Arkham product is that Kevin Conroy will reprise his role as Batman -
as he himself involuntarily announced at the Dallas Comic-Con 2013.
There's still no confirmation if he will be involved in the actual sequel to Arkham City or the full-length
Batman animated film set in the Arkhamverse and known as "Batman: Assault on Arkham".

According to Warner Bros, this animated feature is due to release in 2014, apparently together with the already announced "Son of Batman".

Today, the user KnightEdge from Arkhamverse.com, has spotted a Batman game listing for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at GameStop's German website.
The game's name has no "Arkham" on it, and the placeholder cover only shows the console logo. While the price
(100.77 €, equivalent to $137.70) and the unknown release date are clearly temporary, the product numbers seem to be definitive,
which is probably why these pages have been created prior to a possible announcement.

GameSpot Germany is not new to these kind of things. An "Uncharted" game for PS4 is also listed in the same fashion,
as well as the game "Beyond Good & Evil 2" from Ubisoft for next-gen consoles.

We still don't know if this "Batman" game will be a next-gen port of Batman: Arkham Origins or the long awaited sequel to Arkham City.
Time will tell and, maybe, that time is not far off.
