Bumper plates are made from rubber and were designed for the Olympic lifts. Bumpers are quieter, safer, and offer more protection than that of a cast iron plate. You might want to consider bumper plates if your home gym is located in the house (ie, spare bedroom, office, living area). You should definitely consider bumper plates if your workouts consist of Olympic lifts, and lastly you should consider bumper plates if you’re worried about damaging your basement or garage flooring.

The AmStaff Rubber Bumper Plates from Fitness Avenue is the worst out of the 3 in quality. The rubber is inconsistent, the plate is way to wide, and quite honestly this bumper plate looks like a cheap imported bumper plate. The quality is average at best, and for the quality, this bumper plate is expensive. At 243$, this price is too high and I wouldn’t recommend these bumper plates.

The Rogue Echo 2.0 Bumper Plates are excellent quality. The rubber is consistent, it doesn’t smell and the bumpers look great! A pair of Rogue Echo 2.0 bumpers costs a total of $241. To keep this short, the Rogue Echo 2.0 Bumpers are probably your safest option.

Lastly, the Triple Threat Kratos 2.0 Bumper Plates are excellent in quality, made with high quality virgin rubber, and have a 3 year warranty, as well. For the bumpers themselves these are offered at an amazing price of $170 per pair! Unfortunately the price of shipping is absurd and evens out the price with the other two options. Triple Threat agrees that they need to offer better shipping rates and they are constantly trying to improve and offer better rates. Currently they’re working with retailers across Canada to offer Triple Threat Products with reasonable shipping costs! I highly recommend you check out Triple Threat to see what your shipping rates look like because if you can get a good rates on shipping - than you’re pretty much set!
