Sen. Chuck Schumer spoke with reporters Tuesday, as the Senate impeachment trial of U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to begin.
Schumer accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of putting forward rules for the trial that were not similar to that of the Clinton trial and said the process appeared to cover up the alleged crimes of Trump.
He also criticized McConnell's own critiques of calling the House impeachments hearings as "rushed," saying it was what the majority leader was now doing with the trial.
