On May 24 the Michigan DNR, with help from the MSU Fisheries & Wildlife Club from the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources, banded the four peregrine falcon chicks living in the nest box atop Spartan Stadium on the MSU campus. Parents Freyja and Apollo watched and complained as the young birds were removed and brought to a banding station inside the stadium pressbox, allowing wildlife biologists to track the birds throughout their lives. Mohammed, Swooper, Egbert, and Pickles all got their new ID bands and were returned to their nest box.
