Leroy Adams is a global storyteller whose unique experiences in Ethiopia and China reveal the surprising ways race and identity are perceived worldwide. From being told he didn’t “look” like a Black American to a child in China thinking he was made of chocolate, Leroy’s journey underscores the power of storytelling and the need to own our narratives.
With a background in the Peace Corps and as an advisor to the U.S. State Department on Diaspora relations, Leroy's work through his media company, Culture Travels, redefines Black identity on a global scale. He’s passionate about amplifying community stories, bridging cultures, and ensuring that Black voices are heard and celebrated worldwide.
