✨ how I spent Lunar New Year holiday: CNY shopping, flower market, and food ✨

KUNG HEI FAT CHOY!! May this year bring you luck, wealth, and prosperity. 🍊💫🧧

It's my first CNY celebration in Hong Kong – usually I will just go back to Indo or travel to other countries, since we can get up to 1 week holiday (mostly when I was in uni). This time, though, I was stuck in Hong Kong (nothing new, lol).

And so I tried to celebrate and enjoy the long weekend to the fullest. For the first time ever, I went to the annual flower market in Victoria Park – it's almost cancelled by the Government but thankfully they didn't – which was WAY less crowded than the usual flower market before covid.

I also tried to follow the DOs (ie. wearing new clothes) and DONTs (no sharp object, no sweeping) during Chinese New Year. I also never bought traditional decorations (fai chun 揮春) before, but this year I decided to... so hopefully I'll be lucky throughout the year of Ox! 😂

So yeah, another celebration away from home... another holiday spent without the freedom to gather outside. But I'm still thankful I could spend this long weekend with my closest ones; the people who truly matter. 🥰
