Slothrust’s 2018 album The Pact was easily one of last year’s most unique and rewarding alternative albums. The band’s principal songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Leah Wellbaum’s witty, imaginative lyrics keep you hanging on every word, while her grungy yet nuanced guitar playing is adeptly backed by rhythm masters Kyle Bann on bass and Will Gorin on drums.
