This is a complete guide from start to finish. I take you through marking up the wall, cutting the wall using an angle grinder (with a diamond cutting disc), chasing out the wall using a cold chisel/bolster, and finally fitting the metal back box flush with the wall.

Although this is a poured concrete wall, the principle would be the same in a brick wall.
