Wrath of The Lich King Classic Profession Gold Making Guide - World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide
Today I would like to talk about the various professions and how I expect to make gold from these once Wrath of The Lich King Classic is released.
Lets start with the gathering professions: Herbing, Mining, Skinning, Fishing. First of you might be asking: why Fishing? The reason i simple: Fishing is a solid and steady semi-afk farm, which you can easily do while watching a movie or something like that.
Regarding Herbing, Mining and Skinning: I expect Herbalism to be the best out of those followed by Mining and shortly after Skinning. These will be super awesome for a quick bucket of gold at the very start of the expansion. I expect the first 2 weeks to be super high priced in terms of the new materials. Also once you unlocked flying its crazy just how fast you can gather stuff. I recommend using a druid for that.
The Reason i put skinning on last place is because the gold per hour wont be as high as the other 2 simply of the reason you have to kill huge amount of mobs before you can skin them which drops down the gold per hour by a decent amount. Depending on the server thou I expect skinning to be a steady income of gold later in the expansion.
Next is Gear crafting professions such as Tailoring, Leatherworking, Blacksmithing.
Tailoring is offering a decent starting gear for all cloth classes. They can also craft Bags, end-game epics, and awesome Pants Enchants.
Leatherworking provides decent gear for all leather and mail classes. They can also craft various drums, end-game epics and wrist enchants, careful those enchants cant be sold.
Blacksmithing offers decent gear for all plate classes. Escpecially new Death Knights. They can also craft awesome weapons for almost all classes. Belt Sockets and Weapon Chains
Regarding the ranking: I expect Tailoring to be the most lucrative, followed by Blacksmithing, depending on your server. And shortly after Leatherworking on last place.
Next up are Item crafting professions such as Jewelcrafting, Inscription, Alchemy, Enchanting and Cooking.
Jewelcrafting is probably one of the most valuable professions simply because of the gem cutting. Epic Gem and meta gem designs are purchased with the daily quest coins in dalaran. So make sure to do these as soon as possible.
Alchemy depends on the specialization that you specced into on which things you will profit the most. Either Transmute, Elixiers or rather Flasks, or Potions. Flasks will be pretty much a requirement to start a party. Transmute alchemists will probably make their gold with the Titanium Transmute or the Gem Transmutes. Potions will be a common consumable so their will be a market for these as well.
Enchanting will be pretty lucrative as well, if you have the recipes for them, this comes at a huge invest at first but can give you a steady income if you sell them for a high price later, either in trade chat or with the new option of binding them to a scroll and selling on the auction house
Cooking provides all time use buff food as well as the new feasts that might be pretty lucrative to invest in.
Last and probably the most exciting profession is the new profession Inscription: Since its a completely new profession you will have to level it up from 0 to 450. You can prepare THESE Items and invest in those if you want to stock up already. Inscription provides Darkmoon Cards, Shoulder Enchants, Glyphs and really strong off hands.
Just in case you are wondering why i left out engineering, i think of that profession more of a fun tool and money spender than a gold making profession. Thats why I left it out of the list.
Anyway, Thanks for watching and happy gold making.
