For my concluding feature of this week’s Dungeon Synth Sunday we venture into the dank, doomy crypt of Tyrant of |Gorgon, for a séance with his recent release, The Dead Kingdom.

As morbid and expansive as the title suggests, this is a grim mausoleum of resonance, haunted by the mournful steps of aeons of spirits as the trudge through the spiralling cycles of their afterlife.

Ancient medieval dungeon music, in thrall to the embrace of death.

Wilfried Sätty was a German occultist, illustrator, and collage artist, born in Bremen Germany in 1939 who moved to San Francisco in the early 60s, and passed away in 1983. He was associated with the artists and bohemians of the Beat Generation, and acclaimed as the illustrator of the psychedelic San Francisco 60s scene, renowned for his striking monochrome collage art.
