Mercury plays with the dynamic elements prevalent in our universe, which rise from the dual elements of our cosmos. The masculine and feminine principles, Mercury works between these two expressions. Finding alternative expressions which are present throughout the cosmos, this is why Mercury has been referred to as a mischievous god. Given that Mercury finds alternatives, to what can be perceived as the “established” order. Or the status quo, which is present before the mercurial process takes place.
In alchemy Mercury is referred to as the alchemical child. This is the last process of the expression of the father and mother in union. Their desired product, their gnosis in which the child is received.
Vedic astrology tells the story, of how Brihaspati(Jupiter’s) wife Tārā ran away, and formed a sexual union with Chandra(moon). The result of their relationship, was Budha Graha, Hijo de la luna “son of the moon”.
Mercury can exalt in Taurus, but this depend on which decan mercury is sitting in, and what desired expression one seeks when dealing with this curious mercurial energy.
