In this video, four dolls tap dance in a style inspired by Gene Kelly while wearing blue and white polka dot outfits. I originally started making this animation for a music video contest with a song about a little girl, a jock, a nerd and a tall girl. I didn't get it anywhere near done in time, which is actually good, because I like it a lot better as it is now, set to "Para Santa Domingo" by Jimmy Fontanez/Media Right Productions from the YouTube Audio Library. Enjoy!
The puppets in order of appearance:
- Paper Dolls - These are made of paper, cardboard, wire and glue, and are fully pose-able, although I did not animate them in this video.
- Little Girl - This is an extremely highly modified "Barbie and The Secret Door" Malucia doll. She has new hair, face, feet, and neck, as well as added joins in the neck, waist, elbow, wrist, upper thigh, ankle and two in each knee. Her outfit is completely hand made.
- Short Boy - This is an Ever After High (EAH) Alistair Wonderland doll with different eyes, eyebrows and feet, and his hair painted black. He is wearing EAH Dexter Charming's glasses, a LIV watch and Ken's shoes. The remainder of his costume is handmade.
- Tall Girl - This puppet has an EAH Ashlynn Ella head with a LIV wig and a new face. Her body is mostly a pivotal Barbie Fashonista body, but the joints in the elbows and knees have been replaced with wires, ankle joints were added along with new EAH style feet, and her hands are from Ashlynn Ella. Her entire outfit is handmade.
- Tall Boy - This puppet's head and upper body are from an EAH Hunter Huntsman with an added torso joint, His legs are from a Ken Fashonista with an added ankle joint, and his feet are hand made. He has new eyes and eyebrows, a polymer clay wig, and Ken's pants and shoes. The remainder of his outfit is hand made.
