2018 BSC Annual Meeting:
Ruben Cruz, BSC researcher in the Climate Prediction group, talks about Climate predictions: chaos and predictability. Knowing the current meteorological state is essential to forecast the weather. In climate prediction other factors as the Earth's energy balance or the evolution of components that change slowly, like the ocean, also provide predictability. Rubén discusses how starting a prediction from an imperfect state might result in a totally different climate forecast.
