Just like there are 12 Zodiac Signs, so are there 12 Animals in the Chinese Zodiac and they have counterparts! Although the Bagua only has 8 sides we allot we can fit all the signs and animals into its shape. The cardinal Directions are the strongest. East, South, West and North! So only one sign and animal in each. Then we place 2 signs and animals in the ordinal directions, SE, SW, NW, & NE . Combine this with 5 Elemental Theory of the Feng Shui and Eastern modalities and we begin to see an interesting play of intelligence and understanding.
