LIVE Nest Cam - White Storks (Ságvár, Hungary)

The stork nest shown here was built on a chimney in the courtyard of the municipality in Ságvár, Somogy county. The surrounding meadows and wetlands provide excellent feeding opportunities for white storks. The nest was inhabited for many years and during this time the birds built it very extensively. There were also some worse years for nesters In the spring of 2015, a member of a freshman couple near the nest suffered an electric shock and died. The following year, they had to pay with their lives for irresponsible rodent control in a meadow near the nest. The local conservation guard could only register the incident.
