Here’s a first look at the Tata Harrier in the flesh. Opinions are embargoed for now, so tune in to CarDekho’s YouTube channel for our detailed first drive review on December 7. In terms of design, the Harrier looks quite similar to the H5X concept, which made its world debut at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi. The Harrier’s features list includes up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, ESP, traction control, hill hold control and hill descent control for safety. Other features on offer include a 9-speaker JBL sound system, passive keyless entry with push-button start-stop, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto (Apple CarPlay will be introduced later), 8-way adjustable driver seat and auto climate control. The Tata Harrier will be available in four variants - XE, XM, XT and XZ. However, at launch the Harrier will be available only in a single powertrain option: a 2WD, diesel manual.
The Tata Harrier will rival the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and Mahindra XUV500 when it launches in January 2019. Expect prices to be in the Rs 16-21 lakh range. Don't forget to subscribe and hit the bell icon to be notified when the full review is uploaded.
