I recently read a book where the author bashed me over the head with her opinion as though it was a baseball bat. Rather than reviewing a book I did not finish, I decided to do a review of three worlds where the authors tackle difficult topics and still tell a great story. Starless by Jacqueline Carey, The Kushiel Books by Jacqeline Carey and The Moomins by Tove Jansson. These are three of the most thought provoking fantasy worlds I have ever encountered.
