David and his chilango friend, Luis Miguel, stop by for breakfast at a Mexico City hotspot famous for its baked goods, especially the "conchas." They enjoy these quintessential Mexican pastries with hot chocolate and cafe con leche before moving on to eggs scrambled with tomatoes and manchego cheese and a cheese-filled omelet smothered with sautéed zucchini blossoms. They also order a plate of "molletitos," small rolls that are split, toasted, and topped with beans and cheese before being popped under the broiler. The conchas are famous throughout Mexico City and David now understands why!
